Shawnette Kohler

Shawnette worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years facilitating new store openings within the US and internationally. In 2015 she decided to change careers and pursue her passion, going back to school for interior design!

After graduating from Baker College, she had design roles at Ethan Allen and then Lowes in the cabinet department. “My love for design continued to grow, and when a Showroom Manager position at The Michigan Design Center opened up, I jumped at the opportunity,” says Shawnette. Over her time at the Michigan Design Center, she developed relationships with numerous designers and showrooms and held several events as she made a name for herself within the design community. In her spare time, Shawnette likes to garden, travel, discover great food, hunt for good bourbon, and spend time outdoors.

“I’m very excited for this next chapter of my career here at KSI. Being a part of our new Northville location, managing a team, and designing beautiful spaces is a perfect combination for me!” says Shawnette.
