Designer

B.S. in Interior Design at Western Michigan University

Designing since 2003 | Joined KSI 2017

Krista worked in both residential and commercial interior design before opening a wine and cheese shop with her husband in  Phoenix, AZ.  When she moved back to Michigan to be near family she wanted to get back to her passion for interior design. The Kitchen and Bath industry was the perfect fit. She views the kitchen as the heart of the home and finds it incredibly rewarding to create a functional space that feels personal to the homeowner.

When it comes to designing, she really enjoys the process of listening to a client’s unique needs and ideas. “Taking the information from the first meeting and fitting all of the pieces together is such a satisfying step”.  Krista’s business ownership experience is an asset in managing all of the trades that bring the design to life.  “When the end result leaves a homeowner feeling that their space works for their lifestyle and is a reflection of their own personality I know I have achieved my goal.”

Krista has eclectic taste and likes working with all different design themes.  She is especially drawn to clean lines with a mix of smooth and rustic textures.  There are so many options out there and it can be overwhelming.  Krista has a knack for pulling together a cohesive package even when mixing different trends and design elements.

When she’s not working, Krista enjoys time with her husband and kids.  She loves trying out new wines and while her husband does most of the cooking she can make a really good cheese and charcuterie board.  She enjoys visiting new cities and the inspiration that comes from their unique architecture, style, and cuisine.
