Jacob O’Berry

While Jacob has been formally designing since 2019, his knowledge of interior design traces back to an early age being introduced to cabinetry sales and design by his tradesman father.  When he graduated from Western Michigan, he returned to the east side of the state to manage logistics and ordering at a small cabinet shop in Commerce.  With a handle on the basic knowledge of cabinet sizes and finishes, he went straight into the company’s design and sales division in early 2019, where he focused mainly on custom cabinetry. Shortly thereafter, Jacob worked in outside sales at a Grosse Pointe cabinet shop.

After a year of outside sales, he became a Sales & Design Associate at KSI subsidiary Cabinets Express.  Jacob’s outside sales experience made him well suited to transition over to the KSI Builder Sales team when the opportunity arose.

“Working with builders is nice because you build a relationship with them that carries on for more than one project,” notes Jacob.  “Once you make that connection, it’s very rewarding to help them grow their business.”

Outside of work, Jacob likes to hit the gym and play slow-pitch softball during the warmer days of the year. He also like to spend time at his cabin up north with his dog and explore the beautiful hiking trails of Northern Michigan.
