Anneke has over 15 years experience helping people achieve their DIY dreams. She has experience in almost all departments of the big box stores in roles across the country, ranging from North Carolina to California. She spent eight years perfecting her cabinetry and countertop skills in residential design at a local lumberyard showroom where she worked with many West Michigan families, remodelers, and new construction builders. She also serves on the board of the local chapter of the NKBA where she connects with other industry professionals to create professional growth and educational opportunities for the membership.
Anneke has three teens who keep her pretty busy with all their activities; however, in her extra free she also enjoys painting. Painting gives her the chance to explore her creativity from a different angle. She also loves to get outside with her dogs, husband and kids, even if it’s just in the yard.
Anneke’s dream kitchen would feature stained cabinetry. She further notes, “Real wood has so much life! I need accessibility, roll out trays, swing out corners and deep drawers. Please supply plenty of windows to let in the view, or skylights (depending on how close the neighbors are). I know not everyone loves it, but I enjoy open shelving. It works for me. I can show off my eclectic pottery collection and mix my plants and small artwork. Everyone also always knows where everything is!”
